It turns out the directors of this wedding venue had been making false claims on their bride and grooms for many months. Whenever they felt they needed something repaired or upgraded, they would blame the previous weekend’s wedding clients. Lucky for them, most couples didn’t think they had any options and whenever they tried to work out a deal, the wedding location owners would threaten them with lawyers. Begrudgingly, couples would just give them the money...unless they had wedding insurance.

Here’s a little narrative about a bride and groom who was incredibly lucky they had wedding insurance for their wedding day.  The day began without any issues with the ceremony being located outside the actual building at their garden ceremony site.  Okay,Can A Wedding Insurance Policy Save This Couple From A Venue Scam? Articles it was by a busy street and quite a bit of traffic noise could be heard during the ceremony but the couple didn’t take any issue with it.  The ceremony was just fine for them.

As soon as the wedding was done everybody moved into the inside foyer for the hors d’oeuvres hour.  People were drinking and eating and thoroughly enjoying themselves.  This was, after all, an honoring, a celebration, and the attendees we’re living it up.  Some snacks might have been dropped, a beer may have spilled a little just a tad. There were a few kids in attendance, too, so they can be messy sometimes.  There wasn’t anything off kilter (to the point of needing wedding insurance anyway) when it came to the cocktail hour gathering.

The friends and family then entered into the reception room for the dinner and dancing.  The grub was not the greatest ever.  This was, after all, a wedding and when feeding two hundred-plus guests, it’s tough to make amazing grub.  Some would even say the food was close to dog food, but that didn’t matter.  What mattered was that all the newly married pair’s closest people were there to be with them and to celebrate their marriage!  Wedding insurance was the furthest thing from the bride and groom’s.  They were preoccupied with spending time and enjoying their loved ones and close friends.  They weren’t visiting all the tables thinking, “I wonder what is covered by our wedding insurance policy?”

When dinner was over, the cake cutting was next.  Now, not only had all the guests tilted back more than one glass, but so had the happily married pair.  They were so thrilled so far with the cake cutting and ended up having a mini-cake fight.  A little cake in his face, a little in hers, a little more up his nose, a little more up hers, and so on.  Yes, a little dropped on the carpet, but no one ground it into the rug and the goofy pair were sure some of the locations staff would have brushed it up immediately. Besides, this probably happened all the time and even if the rug got a little stained, surely the location had wedding insurance coverage also.

After that—and after cleaning the tasty treat off of their faces—the silly couple danced their first dance.  All the friends and family members ooh’d and ahh’d during this once in a lifetime dance.  After all the other special dances, like the parents and wedding party dances, all the guests made their way into the celebration.  The DJ was getting everyone up and everyone got down on the packed dance floor all night.  During the bouquet toss, the bride tossed her flowers so high the flowers actually hit the ceiling!  The bouquet bounced right in to the hands of the flower girl.  Again, nobody was hurt  by jumping for the flowers so no need for wedding insurance again!  Maybe the couple was wondering if they had dropped some coin on a worthless policy.

Now, at the end of the night, almost all of the guests had departed for the evening and the happy newlyweds were exhausted.  They were more than happy with the outcome of their ceremony and reception and they were even more ecstatic that nothing dreadful happened to the point of having to have their wedding insurance coverage kick in.  Surprisingly, no one from the ballroom or locale helped them out.  The security guard closed the doors behind them and their amazing ceremony and reception was finished, only to be alive in their memories.  Little did they know the reception hall owners had been victimizing young couples for quite a while.

A couple of weeks after the wedding, the newly married pair got a bill from the owners of the wedding site purporting that there was damage caused to their establishment during their event.  They stated the gazebo was damaged by the ring bearer.  They said a table in the cocktail hour area had a beer spilled on it and was destroyed beyond repair.  They had to completely replace it.  They stated that the stupid cake fight that transpired destroyed that area of the carpet and the entire carpet needed to be replaced.  They said that when the bride tossed her bouquet, it scraped the ceiling and stained it, so that area and the entire dinner and dance area had to be repainted.  The total amount to the couple came out to close to twenty thousand dollars!

The once happy pair was devastated.  They had no idea what to do.  They somewhat accepted that they had to give in or get sued, and we all know how much that costs.  After speaking with their parents and other family members, it was the minister who reminded them about their wedding insurance.  The couple got a hold of their wedding insurance carrier, and he/she opened up a case to investigate.  The couple breathed a tentative sigh of relief.

Less than a month elapsed and the newlyweds heard nada and started to get a bigger headache.  They started going over their assets to see if they could somehow scrape up the money that they were being asked to compensate.  Their wedding insurance broker finally phoned them and told them to come in for a little chat.

Begrudgingly, couples would just give them the money.  Not any more.

The wedding insurance policy would have covered any problems caused by the bride and groom’s event, but with an open case, thewedding insurance agent was able to snoop around and ask questions of the proprietors and learn the truth.  Not only did this couple not have to give cash to the reprehensible malefactors of the wedding site, but they saved any future embezzlement by these wedding scam artists.

Here, conventional wear and tear would have been the resolution and their wedding insurance wouldn’t even be used.  And now, this couple and their wedding insurance agent, are champions for sending those bad wedding site managers to jail.  Without wedding insurance in place, the rip-off probably would have continued indefinitely.
