Hence, the insurance company won't have to worry about the huge cost that must be paid to the insured person if a theft occurs. 3)    One should always try to compare prices both in real markets and online. The online rates of the insurance policies are comparatively less than their real life counterparts. Also, not all the insurance companies pay similar amount for the similar type of coverage. Hence a little bit of research can help to a maximum extent.

4)    Location of the car owner is another factor affecting the rates of auto insurance. This is because the chances of accidents and in turn damages of the car are less in the rural areas as compared to the crowded city areas.
