Who Are the Top 10 Companies with the Fewest Upheld ComplaintsThe New York State Department of Insurance has just published the 2010 annual ranking of claims car insurance. The report was published to help customers find the car insurer that best meets their requirements. The reports analyze data collected from 2007 to 2008. It ranks only companies doing business in the State of New York. However, like New York is a heavily colonized state, with the two major cities & large suburbs, the report can be viewed as a positive performance of the insurance company in the country. How Classification Works Insurance companies are ordered to a complaint ratio. The ratio is calculated by the number of complaints brought against companies as a percentage of their total business private passenger automobile. Insurers with the least uphold complaints per million dollars of premiums are displayed at the top of the listing. Companies with the maximum ratio of complaints are classified in the background. Other info to consider the classification of an insurance company is important, but it is only a feature that customers should evaluate when considering doing business with an insurance company. Others: • Referral of friends, relatives, neighbors or colleagues about their experiences with their insurance company • Price premium over the perceived value • Search the Internet for other ideas • Check your state DOI's website, may contain valuable information on consumer companies doing business in your state. 2009 Auto insurance Complaint listing (ranked minimum number at top, maximum as you go down) 1.
