Nursing Care Homes in Norfolk

The county of Norfolk is the fifth largest county in England based upon area and the 24th largest based upon population. It is a largely rural area with one of the lowest population densities in all of England, and ranks 30th overall in London density statistics.

Less than half of the population lives in one of the three most recognized urban areas in England – Great Yarmouth, King’s Lynn and Norwich. Being that Norfolk is predominately rural, it comes as no surprise that the economy is overwhelming dominated by tourism and agriculture but even more importantly, nursing care homes in Norfolk are readily available.

One of the most recent census revealed that there were well over 116,000 people over the age of 70 living in Norfolk; this is 14.6% of the entire population. The person in charge of the facility is Ms. Maureen Johnstone and is owned by the Regard Partnership, an organization with an excellent history in operating over 120 care homes in England and Wales for those with learning disabilities, mental health issues or ABJ (Acquired Brain Injuries). It is also known for working with children with learning disabilities, emotional problems and other disorders like ADD/ADHD.

Other nursing care homes located in Norfolk, and specifically King’s Lynn is Amberley Hall, Goodwin’s Hall, The Mill House and Shouldham Hall. Out of these four, Goodwin’s Hall stands out because it’s one of the largest nursing home facilities in King’s Lynn with 75 bedrooms for people suffering from Alzheimer’s, Autism, Cerebral PalsyArticle Search, Parkinson Disease and other well-known debilitating medical conditions.
