Closer look at a specific workout in George St. Pierre's RushFit: total body workout.

This is Part 5 and last part of our series looking closer at individual workouts in George St. Pierre’s RushFit. In this article we look  at “Full Body Strength and Conditioning”

The essence of what makes the modern home workout the best it can be is the focus on making sure you are working your whole body but beyond that you are doing it with great form and structure. We saw this at work with Shaun T’s Insanity. We see it at work with the increasingly popular gym workout cross fit. We see it in the conditioning regimen of guys like Mixed Martial Art legend George St. Pierre.  The fact is that when you have the imperative of using your entire body,Profiling the Workout, George St. Pierre's RushFit, Part 5 Articles the regimen itself is less important. Your best sports for staying in shape are ones that require full body engagement, agility, explosion, muscle work, and continuous movement.

This is the movement of the home and gym workout market currently and given how effectively it works people, it can be safely said that it is a trend that is here to stay. Previously, we have talked about the various specific workouts in George St. Pierre’s RushFit  workout program. The emphasis is on variety. When you think about P90X, although it seems to be different substantially from George St. Pierre’s RushFit, they are similar in principle. 

The great similarity is muscle confusion. I look at the Full Body Strength and Conditioning portion of George St. Pierre’s RushFit you are talking about a workout that is the one to keep if you could only keep one. It is the workout you aspire too. It combines the high degree of difficulty elements of the other workouts in the program. Once again, the Full Body Workout follows the 5 “rounds” format. This time though you are closest to the way you would train if you were getting ready for a match. This is where you put it all together and you test your stamina, strength and mental fitness like perhaps no other 45 minutes you will ever do.

Users who are just starting out will be astounded how far they come. They’ll try this the first time and they’ll think it will never happen. But when you apply muscle confusion the way it’s done in George St. Pierre’s RushFit, you’ll get to the point where Full Body is the thing that shreds you to a body like you never thought possible.
