When we were discussing the décor of a restaurant, we briefly discussed the music that is being played in a restaurant. Although it doesn’t seem like something that is worth spending time on, the truth is that music can make or break a great dining experience.

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to visit Boston you are already aware of the dozens of restaurants available for your dining pleasure and that choosing the Best Boston Restaurant will require severe dedication,Choosing the Best Boston Restaurant Part 4 Articles time, and an appetite. Part one discussed the first impression that you get from a restaurant: the name. This will be your first obstacle to overcome when being an adventurous foodie; if the name sounds fun then you expect the restaurant to be fun as well. Part two was all about the host; this is the person that is expected to convey the restaurant’s values and overall personality. Part three went into detail about the décor and how this is something that should never be overlooked since it determines the mood that will be set.  Now we can move on to the next aspect of restaurant observations: the music.

When we were discussing the décor of a restaurant, we briefly discussed the music that is being played in a restaurant. Although it doesn’t seem like something that is worth spending time on, the truth is that music can make or break a great dining experience. The best way to start looking at music in a restaurant is to first determine what kind of music we are talking about. Some different kinds include a live band, a DJ, satellite radio, or even karaoke on certain nights. Looking for the Best Boston Restaurant will not only educate your taste buds, but your eardrums as well.

A live band can be a great way to enjoy old favorites with a new twist. Your dining experience will now likely include conversations about what songs were popular during certain parts of your life. You may even feel a sudden urge to sing along to that song that played during your high school prom. Once dinner is over, there is always the chance to show off your dance moves that got you through senior prom. We can only hope your date has a sense of humor and toes of steel.

Having a DJ can present a few more issues, but as usual it depends on what kind of a dinner you are looking to have. If you are on a date and you want to bust out some of those killer dub-step dance moves, then looking for a place that features a live DJ is your best bet - otherwise you might be forced to actually talk to the person you came with!

Perhaps the most common form of musical entertainment provided by restaurants is satellite radio. This nifty device allows managers to choose a station, and it will play whatever mix is popular at the time. The majority of places rely on satellite radio because it provides a nice background to the meaningless conversations going on within their restaurant. This is the best music choice of you want to talk to your dinner companion while having something else to tune into just in case they get boring.
