Before you run out and spend a fortune to replace stained carpet,How to Do Carpet Stain Removal Simpler and Fast Articles you might consider trying to remove the stains first. Many times, people will end up with stains caused by pet urine, coffee, lipstick, chocolate, grease, and other things that are believed impossible to remove. This article will teach you a number of methods on how to remove carpet stains so you can once again have beautiful, new-looking carpet.

As mentioned, carpets will get dirty from everyday use. To replace carpeting is expensive and most often, you can remove carpet stains and make a huge difference in how your carpet looks and feels. Therefore, before you make a major investment, try to remove it first.

If carpet stains are fresh, begin by removing solids using paper towels. Use additional paper toweling to absorb liquid. Fold and press layers of toweling over the stains to absorb the moisture. Do this until clean toweling will not longer absorb anything.

Next, work on the carpet with clear water. Do not saturate the carpet, but be sure to use enough water to thoroughly dampen the stains. After going over the areas with clean rags until nothing else is there to remove, cover the marks with a generous amount of ordinary baking soda.

Allow the baking soda to remain on the carpet stains until it completely dries. As it works to remove the marks it will change color if anything was left to remove. When it is dry and ready to vacuum it will begin to harden and crack. Vacuum up the baking soda along with any remaining stains. Go over the carpet using the vacuum in every direction and the marks will magically disappear.

If the marks could be removed, they will be gone along with any remaining odor. This natural way to remove carpet stains is by far more effective than any chemical products I have used, especially when trying to get rid of pet stains. Best of all, one box of baking soda can replace many cleaners that cost considerably more.

This natural method is not immediate. After carpet stains are treated, the absorbing cleaner must remain in place for at least forty-eight hours.

Basic Stains

For a dried stain that was originally liquid and is set in, first try water. All you need is clean, cool water, a shop vac, and clean white cotton cloths. Many times, this will work for your more basic stains. Simply saturate the stained area with water and blot. Do not rub. Suck up excess water with shop vac.
