People today are more aware than ever about the importance of eating right and following a healthy lifestyle. This is evident from the increase in gym memberships and fat reduction surgeries happening all over the world. There is a lot of demand for healthier food nowadays and people prefer having things made in low oil and containing low sugar. People across the planet are getting highly influenced by celebrities and their wondrous bodies. They are going for fad diets which make them satisfied in the short term but are not good for long term maintenance. Such plans keep coming and going and only a few noteworthy ones stay on in people’s minds as evergreen classics such as the Dukan,A blood group diet will enhance your immunity levels Articles organic or the Atkins diet. There is a unique diet which recommends eating by blood type.

This blood group diet has been gaining worldwide recognition as it has quite a lot of benefits. The blood group diet recommends different kinds of diets to people of varied groups such as A, B, AB and O. The theory that this diet is based on is that people are divided on the basis of their blood group, each one of which, has specific physical needs that a common diet cannot fulfil.

Eating by blood type protects your body from the harmful effects of elements called lectins. A chemical reaction, which is part of our genetic inheritance, occurs between the blood and the foods we eat. This reaction is caused by elements called Lectins. They are abundant and diverse proteins found in foods, which have agglutinating properties that affect various bodily functions. So when one consumes food containing protein lectins that are incompatible with their blood type antigen, the lectins target an organ or bodily system and begin to agglutinate blood cells in that area.

The good news is that most of them which are found in the diet are not quite so life threatening, although they can cause a variety of other problems, especially if they are specific to a particular category of blood type. For the most part, our immune systems protect us from lectins since ninety-five percent of the lectins that we absorb from typical diets are sloughed off by the body. However, at least five percent of the lectins we eat are filtered into the bloodstream and they trigger off different reactions of harmful nature in different organs.

The O category of people doesn’t have many restrictions as far as their diet is concerned. Type O is the oldest one which had originated before other types. One of the main advantages of being a Type O is that they have the strongest digestive systems as compared to the others. Those who eat non vegetarian food need to continue having meat in good amounts as animal protein is good for their health. Their body is not adaptive to wheat products containing gluten and hence they should try to avoid such food items. Their digestive systems contain a lot of stomach acid and their disadvantages are that they suffer from low thyroid and have sluggish metabolisms, making their weight loss goals tougher to achieve than the other groups.
