A Quick Glance on Resveratol and Its Effects

Resveratol comes in the category of antioxidants. It is a natural compound usually seen in red grape skin, peanuts, Japanese knotweed and certain berries like blueberries.

 It is commonly believed that free radicals working in the body are the factors behind aging. Antioxidants are supposed to be neutralizers of these free radicals. Resveratol, if combined with 'blood-thinning' drugs, is found to be harmful for certain patients. Patients who use medications like Aspirin or Warfarin should consult their doctor before using Resveratol. If you have blood related disorders, you should be in close watch of a physician while using Resveratol. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, it is better not to use this medication.
Make sure that your children do not lay their hands on this medicine as it can affect their growth and cause them problems. Women who have got high estrogen sensitivity (for example, cancer patients) should not use this medicine. As of now, no long term or short term side effects of Resveratol have been reported.
