A UTI is commonly caused by a bacterial infection targeting the kidneys,
urethra, ureter, or bladder, and the most common bacteria causing a UTI
is E Coli. Most doctors will opt to use any number of antibiotics as a
UTI treatment because they are known to be effective in eliminating
bacterial infections in your body in a fast and safe manner. The type of
antibiotics your doctor chooses to prescribe to you will depend on
your age, your history with antibiotics, and any other health issues
that need to be considered.
