Before attaining knowledge about the baby’s emotional intelligence it is very important to know what exactly is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is the capability to understand, teach, remember, recognize, feel, learn, use, communicate and manage emotions. Baby emotional intelligence is the potential to fulfill the above-mentioned requirement.

To develop emotional intelligence the childhood time is considered as the best one. Childhood is like wet cement; one can mould it in any shape. It is the best time when one can make leaps and bounds in the baby’s emotional growth. The main and basic source for the development of baby emotional intelligence is the family and the surrounding itself. Handling and helping the child to keep a control on the overwhelming feelings such as over excitement, anger, misbehavior, frustration or confusion also is a part of emotional intelligence. Teaching the baby to show patient from the childhood itself helps developing emotional IQ. Researches have proved that a baby with higher emotional IQ can cope up and handle emotions and feelings better. Thus it becomes very necessary to pay proper attention to a baby’s emotional intelligence to build a better future.

Such a situation may be common if the parents are busy with their own schedule or are not able to spend quality time with the child. Another common reason noticed at times is when a second baby is born. In such cases a little care and love is sufficient to create wonders. Baby’s emotional intelligence can be handling with ease, at the same time the child will understand and grow mentally. To develop the child emotionally it becomes very important to understand the main cause about what is troubling him; if at all the child is found upset or puzzled. Knowing the root cause can only help the parents to help the baby.
                                     Language that one uses also plays a vital role. The language used when the baby is angry, frustrated or mad at something needs to be full of warmth and love. If the baby is hungry and crying for milk and at a time baby might get wild too because of hunger. In such a situation if one starts shouting or looses temper it gets very difficult to handle. Though developing the emotional intelligence is not a term work it continues till later age but the early years have got there own charm and impact.
