A Push In The Right Direction
If people could push themselves as hard as a trainer, the military would be a very different place. But they can't. No matter how dedicated you are, you will almost always give up on yourself before your body has no more left to give. A boot camp goes a long way towards removing this human foible. When you have trainers breathing down your neck, telling you that you have the power to keep going, you'll push yourself harder than you ever thought possible. Having others around you going through the same thing will only strengthen your determination.
One of the most frustrating things about starting a new diet and gym routine is getting on the scale at the end of the week. You lost one pound? After all that work? It doesn't make sense and it is an inspiration to quit immediately. While part of the problem is simply fluctuation, people have a tendency to both underestimate how much they are eating and overestimate how hard they are working out. A boot camp removes those variables. If you join one that knows what it is doing, you will almost certainly burn many more calories than you would on your own. Combine that with the diet and fitness tips you'll get, and you shouldn't experience anymore scale disappointment.
It's always easier to go through something difficult when you have others to talk to who are going through the same thing. Dieting and trying to get in shape can be a lonely, thankless endeavor. Your family is still eating the way they've always been, your friends may be resentful of your attempts to better yourself, and it can be very easy to just give up and rejoin the pack. Being in a boot camp setting means surrounding yourself with others who are trying to lose weight and get in shape. Just having that group to lean on can make a big difference in your success.
