The post-pregnancy bosom can look dramatically different than the pre-pregnancy one. If your chest no longer looks the way you want it to then consider having what plastic surgeons refer to as a “mommy makeover.” A mommy makeover is a combination of cosmetic procedures that can help to counteract the distressing physical effects of both being pregnant as well as giving birth. Such a makeover includes augmentation and a lift but can also include work in other areas of the body ravaged by pregnancy. A mommy makeover can also include a tummy tuck, liposuction and/or a buttock lift.

It is not uncommon for a female patient to be given implants at the same time as she is undergoing reconstruction following surgery for cancer. The reconstruction process can take place in one of two ways, either implant can be placed in the chest or else a woman’s own fat and tissue can be excised from her abdomen and used to fill them.
