Breast Reduction – For Your Health

Getting your teeth whiter can be done at the dentist office. Today dentists offer many ways to whiten teeth.

Everyone wants a beautiful smile. Your teeth have the tough job of carrying you through your entire life of eating and drinking. So taking good care of them is essential. And, though you may have good healthy teeth and gums, they may not be as white as you would like them to be.

Today, dentists offer simple ways to whiten and brighten the smile. Most of us begin our lives with white teeth. But, the enamel that protects the dentin, the inner part of the tooth, can be worn away. Your enamel is the white part of the tooth and the dentin is the yellow part. So, when the enamel is worn away the yellow begins to show. And, over the course of a lifetime your teeth have a lot to deal with, like chewing your food, drinking sugary drinks, and even trauma to the mouth. All of these things can weaken the enamel of the teeth. But, there are some things you can do, such as whitening your teeth at home or in a dentist office.

Teeth bleaching or whitening is a very common and easy way for dentists to restore the look of the teeth. But, there are several ways for the whitening to happen. And, it is important to talk to your dentist so that you will know which is the best for you.

One of the most simple ways to begin is using a whitening toothpaste. These toothpastes contain a small concentration of hydrogen peroxide and other whitening substances. These are sold over the counter and will get you started. Some of these pastes can offer a one to two shades lighter. But, for really tough stains you may need to go another route.

Many dentists will recommend a take home kit that you can buy at their office. This kind of kit will whiten your smile over time. You will get trays for you teeth and you can apply them as often as your dentist recommends. This is recommended for mild staining and as it is a lower concentration of peroxide it can be used safely at home.

But, for really tough staining you may want to talk to your dentist about having your teeth bleached in the office. For this kind of whitening, dentists will use a much higher concentration of hydrogen peroxide solution. For this kind of solution, it is important to protect the gums and mouth with a dental dam. This is why it must be preformed in office to ensure the protection of your entire mouth. However, you will likely only have to spend no more than an hour or so at the dental office. During about 2 intervals the highly concentrated solution will be applied to the teeth and rinsed off 15 to 20 minutes later. Although this is a very effective way to treat stains, some people have to come back for another treatment, or still have to use a take home method.
Having a whiter smile is much more attainable than you may realize. Everyone has different needsScience Articles, but visiting a dental office is the best way to start your plan for whitening your teeth.
