Caffeine also affects men’s fertility. It affects semen quality or time period needed to conceive. It is considered that men who drink more than 5 cups of coffee per day can abnormally change the size of sperm.

Caffeine also boosts athletic performance. So performance improvement encourages men to continue consuming. There may be other good alternatives to caffeine for performance enhancement such as vitamin C rich fruits and juices mainly lemon and papaya.

The thumb rule is to use caffeine in moderation and it should be limited or avoided in special conditions like pregnancy.
