Dandruff is an extremely annoying skin disorder of the scalp. It is a problem that affects half of the world population. There are many natural dandruff remedies that may help you to get rid of dandruff.

If you suffer from dandruff, many times you will avoid wearing that black or dark piece of clothing, with fear that you will have the embarrassing white flakes showing up on your clothing for the whole world to see. There is no need to have that added stress on your shoulders, worrying about dandruff. With homemade herbal dandruff remedies, it can solve your dandruff dilemma, resulting in wearing that black outfit, with no worries. 

Dandruff is a horrible condition. Only those who have suffered it understand the gravity of the situation. The terrible itching, the perception of a lack of hygiene, and the embarrassing flaking are the most horrible symptoms of this condition. However, there are a couple of remedies that eliminate, and if not, at least, control the dandruff.
The following are a couple of excellent remedies to take control over your hair and scalp, and eliminate the dandruff. You can try one, or as many as you can, just remember that every human being is different and that not every remedy may work for you. For simplicity I have divided them into natural and chemical remedies.

Dandruff is due to the excessive shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. Dandruff can happen at any age but is most commonly found in people between the ages of 12 and 80. Dandruff is not an organism like lice; it is just dead skin that accumulates in the scalp. Dandruff is unlikely to be the cause of hair loss. Dandruff is a global phenomenon and many people find that dandruff can cause social or self-esteem problems. Dandruff is an itchy, annoying and persistent skin disorder of the scalp. A dark shirt and dandruff just simply don't go together! There is nothing more embarrassing than to have someone brush white flakes off your new black sweater or denim jacket. In the past ten years dandruff problems in the United States have become more serious and more frequent. In a normal scalp, the process of sloughing off old cells and manufacturing of their replacements is very orderly and complete. In the dandruff scalp, there is mass disorder and often the departing cells are not dead before leaving the scalp.

Mix two tablespoons of cosmetic vinegar and six tablespoons of hot water. Dab with water into the scalp, parting the hair with a comb apply all over the scalp. Next morning wash the hair with shampoo. After the hair is thoroughly cleansed pour over as a last rinse a mixture of three tablespoons of cosmetic vinegar and one cup of hot water. Then dry the hair thoroughly. This should be done twice a week for three months.

Some people get confused with psoriasis or dermatitis and think it is dandruff. Dandruff is white scales of dead skin that sheds from the scalp and sometimes will be quite noticeable on dark clothing. For some people, they can be more prone to dandruff because of heredity.
