A serving at a fast food place or restaurant is three times more than it was fifteen years ago. The value and convenience is leading us to diabetes, obesity, cancer, and heart disease, causing a lifetime dependence on prescribed drugs, organ pulling, and constant doctor visits. Obesity is increasing yearly and cancer and diabetes is multiplying even faster. It's just not your scale number that is important here, it's your health!!It's alarming that there is a health club on nearly every corner and diet food products as far as the eye can see in the market, yet we are gaining more and more weight and putting our health on the line. Reclaim Your ControlThere are things you can do to regain your control and your life. Start by making a priority list of what's important to you and make a list of things you are going to do about it.

Such things could include buying and preparing natural foods and packing them to take to work or school with you. Grilled chicken and steamed vegetables is a great meal that is balanced and healthy, and a much better "value" than what you can get at the corner fast food joint.

You can also opt to incorporate a quality premixed protein drink into your diet instead of reaching for the most convenient fast food for lunch.

There are some protein drinks out there that are tasty and nutritious. One of my favorite things to do is mix my strawberry protein with sugar-free strawberry Kool-Aid®. Sometimes I add a little fruit or ¼ cup of oatmeal for a healthy and balanced treat. Toss in a few ice cubes and you have a thick and creamy smoothie, without all the added harmful junk. Yum!Get ActiveMake time to workout. You can do a quality workout in as little as sixty minutes four times a week. Many like to get up an hour early and workout, some like to workout on lunch break if time permits, and others prefer the evening, after work. Whatever works best for you is what is right. Make time and just do it.

In the end, you are in control, so make every effort to make your health and self-worth your number one priority. This is your life, so you control it.
