Different symptoms of Helicobacter pylori infectionThere is no one symptom or set of symptoms which may be directly attributed to H. pylori infection. Some of the symptoms that may be associated with infection include nausea, abdominal pain, esophageal reflux, dyspepsia (upper and mid-abdominal pain), bloating, or belching. Conversely, one may be completely asymptomatic for many years Helicobacter pylori are gram negative bacteria that grow on the inner lining of the stomach causing severe cases of infection. Health practitioners classify the different Helicobacter pylori symptoms in to classic and non classic symptoms. Classic H pylori symptoms This group includes all the symptoms that can be detected. Some of them are as follows: 1. Abdominal pain- Extreme infection causes inflammation of the lining of the stomach. This results in pain. The gas built within the stomach also causes extreme pain. 2. Hurt burn and acidity - H. pylori increase the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. This excessive acid causes the inner lines of the stomach to burn and cause pain. The acid when spills in to the oesophagus cause acidity. 3. Anaemia - the digestive system of the body gets affected due to the burning of the inner lining of the stomach. As a result a deficiency in the production and subsequent absorption of essential nutrients in the body occur. This leads to the decrease in the amount of iron absorbed by the blood causing Anaemia. 4. Bad breath - Helicobacter pylori increases the production of ammonia in the cell. This reacts with the acid of the stomach to produce a bad breath. 5. Dyspepsia - When the infection starts to get severe, nausea and blotting of the stomach takes place. This specially occurs after any meal. This is gastritis, which in extreme case converts in to Dyspepsia. 6. Ulcers - A very common symptom of H. pylori 7. Dysentery - Chronic cases of infection lead to frequent discharge of stool. Non classic Helicobacter pylori symptoms Non classic H pylori symptoms include the side effects that are produced and cannot be seen as a result of the infection.
