Below are a few sensible ways that you can follow to slow down and take back control of your life and it is up to you to implement them yourself, as no-one can do it for you.

Firstly Slow yourself down a bit and start gaining control:

1. Sit down and make complete lists of things that need to be done in your life. These can be of current problems you have to face, unfinished tasks, places you need to go to or wish to go to and things you would like to accomplish.

If you are highly stressed, then when you sleep, your unconscious tries to sort through these problems and that is why you end up with nightmares and bad dreams, to finally waken un-refreshed. If your strategies are down on paper your brain will be more relaxed because of the order you have set which your subconscious will realize and you will get a good nights sleep.

Get the minimum of exercise even if you hate it:

2. Most people hate exercise period! Your body needs it whether you like it or not and it is vital to good health. This does not mean going to a gym, but simply taking time to walk down to the corner café instead of driving, or walking round the block with your dog. Right, if you do have gym membership that you took with good intentions that have lapsed, even going there once a week can be beneficial in helping you to unwind and you get a little value for money at least as well. This will improve your brain function, blood circulation, as well as helping you to sleep better at night.

Have a good Laugh to de-stress:

3. When last did you have a really good  laugh that made tears run down your face and your stomach muscles ache? One of the best ways to do this is to hire a good comedy DVD or 2 and sit down with a bowl of popcorn and some snacks without being stressed you will gain pounds! Read some good Joke books, comics or watch a few T.V sitcoms are all a good means of a good laugh which is vital to release stress. Laughing makes you forget your stresses, relax your body, and rekindle your sense of humor that may be waning under pressures you face every day.

Eat plenty of fruit and raw veggies in a salad with your meals often:

4. So everyone keeps telling you this but you are too busy to cook a proper meal anyway?. But really, how many of us find that we just don’t tuck into a juicy apple, pear or a celery stick anymore. Too busy right with everything else makes most eat unhealthily. A fresh salad or piece of fruit can help detoxify your body and replace lost vitamins from unhealthy eating of fast foods in your busy lifestyle. So try and make an effort to take something healthy to work with you. Vitamin supplements are good but fresh food from nature is unbeatable.

Try to Stop worrying and dwelling on things you cannot change:

5. Take time out to analyze just what it is you are worrying about and whether it is going to change anything... Even going as far as writing out your worst case scenarios of IF, IF, If what would happen if. Putting things in new perspective makes them look a lot less fearful and it is also a known fact that 90 percent of what we worry about never actually happens or if it does o it was not as bad as what the worry made it seem to be. Whoever and whatever, and why ever problems or issues you are dealing with are part of life and no doubt whoever you will be dealing with to solve these problems is also human and has the same sort of concerns.

Try and Think positive thoughts all the time:

6. This is something you have heard many times no doubt. This is another aspect which has been proven to improve all aspects of your life you are busy with. Having a positive attitude even in the worst situations not only makes yourself feel better but affects those around you as well. As soon as a negative thought creeps in, bombard it with positive scenarios, the rest will take care of itself. Rather look at the bright side of everything!
