Effective Heartburn Cure and Herbal Treatment

Heartburn, this word might evoke a picture of some cardiological problem. In fact, the word heartburn is a misnomer. It has nothing to with heart; it is just a digestive system disorder. There is a tube that carries food from our mouth to stomach. This tube is most commonly known as esophagus or food pipe. Stomach produces certain acids to digest food. Whenever this acid escapes from stomach into esophagus, heartburn awakes. There is a muscle known as Lower Esophagus Sphincter which prevents the stomach acid to enter into the esophagus. When this muscle dysfunctions, there is a chance about acid to enter into food pipe. This acid can causes an uncomfortable burning sensation anywhere from stomach to throat. This can also cause pain in the chest. Due to this symptom it is named as heartburn.

This disorder actually begins when stomach produces acid in bulk amount. When this process continues for prolonged time, that's when real trouble starts. Heartburn is not a disorder itself, it simply indicates towards fault in digestive system. However, it produces certain symptoms for identification of its presence. The common symptom is burning sensation in the chest. This sensation can be felt from breastbone to lower throat. Another common symptom is burning feeling in the throat. This sensation can be felt anywhere in the throat starting from lower throat to upper throat. It is factually a pain and it may worsen with swallowing. When stomach contents refluxes from esophagus and reaches back of the throat, it will result as sour or bitter taste in the mouth. This is one of the common symptoms. 

In some chronic cases, patients showed symptoms of chronic cough, asthma-like symptoms and difficulty in swallowing. When refluxed stomach acid is aspired into lungs from esophagus, it causes wheezing and cough. In such conditions a person must take quickest possible consultation from physician for diagnosis of dire diseases like hernia. In other cases it can be cured by some effective herbal remedies for heartburn and few preventions mention below.

1. Garlic is most versatile food. Take few garlic cloves and ferment it in apple cider vinegar. Sip this liquid whenever heartburn occurs.

2. Papaya is a tropical fruit and it aids digestion. Fresh papaya is difficult to find; that is why dried papaya can also be used. Have papaya when symptoms occur or eat it before meals, but eat it in small amount.

3. Fresh and not-too-ripe bananas are best for heartburn. Just peel a banana and eat it whenever symptoms are noticed. A diabetic must consult the doctor before starting to eat bananas.

4. One tablespoon of apple cider vinegar can be taken for relief, but if you are not used to it; dilute it as mentioned ahead. Mix six ounces of water with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Add sugar to taste. Drink this mixture for quick relief.

At last, of course these remedies are very effective but for complete cure, preventions and awareness are also important. First of all, avoid high fat foods, too oily and too spicy foods.
