A vaporizor is a piece of equipment which is used for the purpose of inhalation of the vigorous ingredients of herbs and plants material mainly tobacco, cannabis or other herbs. Vaporization is an alternate approach to smoke which keeps away the toxic materials produced as by products.

It turns these poisonous materials into vapors by heating these materials such that its active compound is boiled off. No ignition takes place in the vaporizer, so it is a very healthy way of smoking. Vapor almost consist of no tar and has a very little concentration of harmful gases like carbon monoxide. Vaporizers have different forms of chambers like venture or straight bore and are built up of metals or glass. Vapor which is so formed is extracted out and is collected in the inflatable bag or jar and it can be inhaled directly through nose or pipe. These are helpful in reducing the harmful effects of smoking.

As compared to ingestion, vaporizers are useful in providing various benefits that are;- it quickly produces pharmacological effect, and directly delivers the vapors into the bloodstream at a desired level with no overdose of the materials.

Vaporizers can be of many types. One of such vaporizers is volcano vaporizers which make use of the aluminum heating elements and precise thermal control such that subsequent amount can be filled in the plastic bags for dry inhalations.
Most of the vaporizers make use of electric heating elements which features thermostatic temperature control. With the amount of heat absorption, vaporizers can be classified into three categories;-

1.    Thermal conduction – in this, the materials are placed on the metal plates so as to release the vigorous components.  These are the first models of vaporizers that have come into existence in the market.

2.    Convection heating – in this the materials are not placed on the heating elements but the hot air is passed through them which makes the materials heat rapidly. This allows the substances to release off their active ingredients. The convection heating makes the material release more of active ingredients than conduction heating.

3.    Radiation heating – in this the substances are exposed to bright light. The substances then absorb the radiant energy which makes them to rise their temperature. Radiation vaporizers are not much but are capable of imitating the performance of convection heating. You can make your own radiation vaporizer with a pipe and a magnifying glass.
