Help In Making Dental Implants More Affordable!

Simple explanation on what dental implants are, and how you can make them more affordable. 

Look in your local newspaper. Hardly a day goes by that there isn't an ad for supposedly affordable dental, or denture implants. Usually, the ad shows someone in a "before photo" with crooked uneven teeth, and smile. Then you see an "after the procedure photo".....this same person, who now has perfectly straight teeth and a gorgeous smile.

Is this false advertising? No! Believe it, or not with today's advanced cosmetic dental procedures these results can be easily achieved with  implants.

Just exactly what are dental or denture implants?

First they implant a small metallic device into the jaw bone (like a screw). In turn, a false tooth (mini-implant), or even a set of false teeth can be anchored onto these devices. What is important is that there is enough healthy jaw bone to safely anchor the metallic devices.

Most people think of false teeth (dentures) as something that are removable from your mouth, and that you set aside at night. In this process, dentures that are anchored to the metallic implants are permanent and not removable.

Dental implant procedures are not particularly affordable. They start out in the $1,200 per tooth range, and the cost spirals upwards depending upon whether or not regeneration of your jawbone is needed. And, for other physical problems that might interfere with a successful implant.

Unfortunately, implants are considered cosmetic dentistry and most dental insurance companies will not cover them. Fortunately, with what is called a discount dental plan, you can save ten to sixty percent on dental procedures including implants.
