Trying to take care of a toddler is a good deal of hard work. In fact it can be harder then you ever anticipated. There are numerous things that you will worry about. You must ensure that you are feeding them the proper foods and cleaning them properly so that they will be healthy and happy as they become older. One thing that we perpetually neglect while making sure their bones are strong is whether or not they have fresh breath.

Adults are not the only ones to suffer from problems with bad breath. As a matter of fact for a toddler it is simply typical because they are eating up foods that contain all sorts of smells (onions, garlic, etc.) with no care in the world and maybe even some things that aren’t considered to be food. There are ordinarily three causes that have the ability to make bad breath in toddlers.

Sleeping

While sleeping the saliva production is very small. Because they tend to have naps and mostly sleep longer then us this means that they are developing even less then us and are inclined to having bad breath more frequently.

Mouth Breathing

The bulk of toddlers breathe through their mouth. When this occurs their mouth is drying out and allowing the bacteria to produce and step-up the bad breath.

Curing The Bad Breath

They don’t understand that they have bad breath and are therefore incapable to fix it without a little help from you. The only way that you are able to cure bad breath for them is to follow the necessary hygiene steps that we would for us.

Make sure they are drinking a great deal of water
Rinse their mouth out after they have eaten
Brush their teeth and floss (if possible)
Make sure to clean their tongues
Make sure to use toothpaste for their age level
