Nana Manu Competes in the Arnold Classic

The Arnold Classic remains one of the most popular bodybuilding competitions in the industry. And why shouldn’t it be? It is only named after and promoted by one of the most legendary bodybuilders in history. (One guess who it is…) Each year, some of the top names in the bodybuilding world will compete at the Arnold Classic. And, of course, there will always be a surprise entrant that no one expected. This year is no exception in that regard as Nana Manu will be heading to the states to compete in the tournament.

Nana Manu is known mostly for his business success. He is the owner and manager of Xtreme Health and Fitness Gym in the UK. He is certainly no stranger to bodybuilding as he is a multiple time Mr. Britain on the amateur level. When he ventures to Ohio to compete in the Arnold Classic, he will not be going it alone. He will be bringing several fellow amateurs with him and he hopes to walk away with the top prize. Actually, he has other plans in mind and this may come as a surprise to many. Manu is hoping that his performance here will set the stage for his turning professional.

Some may think that it is not a difficult transition to go from amateur to pro if the amateur has had a successful career. After all, if Nana Manu has held numerous amateur bodybuilding championships then he should easily be able to become a pro, right? Well, the answer to that is “not necessarily.” There are huge differences between amateur level bodybuilding and professional level bodybuilding competition. Some of the top amateurs are not able to make the smooth transition into the pro ranks. As much as they try, they discover the playing field is much different and this has an impact on how they perform.

The competition in professional bodybuilding is much tougher than what exists in amateur. The requirements on how the pros are expected to appear and perform are enhanced as well. Yes, the playing field is a lot more competitive. Those that make the transition from amateur to pro sometimes are not able to effectively make the transition.

That is not said to present a “downer” opinion on Nana Manu’s goals. Rather, it is simply to put his professional pursuits into their proper perspective. After all, when you have the right perspective about how you wish to approach things, you can enhance the odds of success.

Nana Manu has a lengthy career as an amateur and a lifetime of knowledge on the subject of how to effectively train. As such, you can expect him to perform quite well when he gets on stage at the Arnold Classic.
