Tendons are actually thick chords which attach the muscles to the bones. These contract and stretch under different situations.  They can suffer a sudden injury or even get damaged over a period of time.  A sudden stretch can be difficult for the tendons to bear. In other situations, it may also take years of similar movements to cause tendonitis.  In the event of a rupture of a stressed tendon, a scar tissue may develop and lead to chronic tendonitis.

Tendonitis can be avoided as well. The doctor can also prescribe you the necessary medication. You need to see the specialist promptly in order to prevent the condition from further aggravating into carpal tunnel syndrome. It is therefore necessary to take the necessary precautionary steps in advance so that you do not end up suffering from such a condition in the future.
