Despite the fact that you can never fully control what is going through your mind, it's important to learn how to control how you react to these thoughts. The important thing here is not to attempt to avoid these thoughts, but to accept them as they run through your head.

The next time fearful thoughts come to your mind, do not push them away. Keep in mind that whatever you resist, will persist. This is a major difference between somebody that gets caught up in fearful thinking and someone who doesn't.
