Before consuming the various dietary supplements available in the market, you should first get familiar with the various factors regarding the dietary supplements.

There have been lots of scientific studies about the interactions with dietary supplements and benefits of consuming dietary supplements to the human body. On the other hand, like all the usual substances, excessive consumption of the mineral and vitamin supplements can be harmful for the human body. Hence the precautions of consuming these dietary supplements should still be followed. Excessive influence of these dietary supplements may cause unpleasant side effects and these can be toxic as well, while the other dietary supplements might have contaminants within them. For instance, the calcium dietary supplements were found to have traces of lead, and high consumption of this can be very dangerous for the human body.

In general, the precautions of mineral and vitamin dietary supplements include the consumption of those supplements that are supported by the suggested dietary allowance.
