There’s Nothing Weird About Plastic Surgery For Men!

Cosmetic surgery no longer has the social stigma that it used to carry.  This widespread societal acceptance of cosmetic procedures has even extended to men.  Although men tend to be less vocal about their fixes, male cosmetic surgery is on the rise.

Times have changed, and plastic surgery for men is no longer a rare thing. The number of guys going to the clinic to get work done is growing year by year. What used to be a solution for women is now growing increasingly popular with their male counterparts.

One big difference is that guys are a little quieter about it. You don't see the guys sitting around a football game talking about their Botox treatments or comparing waist sizes. Now, THAT would be weird... Guys may not talk about it, but the numbers show that they're doing it!

The Abdominoplasty - A Miracle for Middle Aged Men

One huge reason for this growing trend is the "miracle" solution, the abdominoplasty. It's better known as the "tummy tuck," but that sounds girly, so let's stick to the more manly technical term, "abdominoplasty." It's largely responsible for the rise in plastic surgery for men.

Everybody knows the reason why. These days, with our sedentary, fast-food-eating and car-driving lifestyles, it's tough to work off that little bit of flab that clings to your abs. Because this fat is so tough to get rid of, many men are turning to the tummy tu-... er, abdominoplasty.

The abdominoplasty is a procedure where the surgeon makes a few incisions in your mid-section. The doctor removes fat, but also tightens the tissue that's there. This is the secret to the operation's success: it not only removes fat, but resituates things to keep the fat from building up again. It's a great solution for the bulging middle many men suffer from.

Face Lifts for Men?

Face lifts are also hugely popular. New procedures allow surgeons to lift key areas of the face to give you a more youthful look. A great example is the brow lift. This is a simple operation that raises and adjusts tissue above the eyes to combat the "tired look" many men get as they get older.

The nose job is also a common plastic surgery for men. It may be cosmetic or it can be reconstructive, helping you readjust a broken nose. A nose job can be just a tiny adjustment, or   difference.

Most guys don't go for the life-altering face lift. It's more common for men to have a little lifting and tissue adjusting here and there to give them a younger look.

Plastic surgery for men is taking offHealth Fitness Articles, but we don't have to talk about it! Talk to a surgeon about what they can do to give you the look you want and erase the years. There are lots of plastic surgery options available for men.
