Three At Home Acne Remedies That Really Do Work

Are you looking for at home acne remedies that you can do without a prescription from a doctor or dermatologist?  There's many options available to you for fixing acne when you don't have the money (or the stomach) for ordinary acne treatments, many of which are expensive and painful.

1. Aloe vera extract: This cooling extract is a good option, especially if you have some in your fridge for taking care of sunburns.  Simply smear some aloe vera on fingers or a Q-tip, apply to your face, chest, and back (or wherever the acne is), and let it dry.  There's no need to wash it off after it dries.

2. Oatmeal and honey: Honey has an antibacterial quality that makes it a great option for fighting acne.  When mixed with 1/4 cup of cooked and cooled oatmeal, applied as a mask on the face, and removed 15 minutes later, it can drastically help improve the look of your skin.  Don't leave it on long, as it tends to stick like glue and concrete if you do.

3. Lemon juice mixed with cucumber or rose extract: Straight lemon juice can tend to sting a bit, so mix it with rose extract or cucumber pulp, either of which you can get at a grocery store to make great at home acne remedies.  Mix equal parts together and apply it to your face, back, or chest as needed.  Some people sleep with it on, and some wash it off 20 minutes after applying.  You can do either oneArticle Search, as long as it doesn't irritate your skin.
