The Fun of Collecting Hidden Mickey Trading Pins

Hidden Mickey trading pins are fun to collect and trade. It is fun to try and find all the pins in a particular series.† They are part of Disney trading pins are just another way to have fun collecting and trading the multitude of pins Disney has available.

Hidden Mickey trading pins are fun to search for and collect.† Every year Disney comes out with different sets of hidden Mickey pins. These pins usually come out in sets of 5-6 and Disney usually releases about 50-60 of these pins every year. They come out in different categories, and could be Disney princesses, Disney villains, Disney birds, or Disney patriotic characters.† Sometimes the theme may not even by related to Disney.† A list is provided each year of the different categories of hidden Mickey pins so you have an idea of what to look for.† But what makes these pins so special?†

All of these pins have one thing in common. They all have a little tiny Mickey Mouse head on them.† The head is very small and can be in different colors, such as gold, silver, black, or brown.† And the head can be anywhere on the pin.† The fun of collecting them is to try and find the hidden Mickey pins from the list that come out every year.† Once you go into the theme parks you have to search for the particular ones you need by going up to cast members or other guests that are also trading them.† You have to know what the pins that have the hidden Mickey on them look like because the head design is very small.† Once you know what the pin looks like, the hunt is on to try and collect all the hidden Mickey pins in the category you are trying to find.

These pins are unique because of the hidden Mickey but also because of the underlying theme that goes across them.† And the different themes are interesting in themselves.† For example, there are mobile phone ones that have different Disney princesses on them. Or there are Disney bird pins that have different birds.†† This is why you need a list of all the pins. As you go up to cast members that are trading them you have to know what you are looking for. The Mickey head on the pin is small so if you do not know the pin design it will be hard to find. Once you find the hidden Mickey pin you want, you can obtain it by trading one of your pins for that pin.† Sometimes the design on the pin is something that does not have recognizable characters on it. For example, there are hot air balloon themed ones that have hidden Mickey’s on them.† Or there may be pins with cute bear faces, or ballerinas.† The variety is endless.† It is fun to collect all the pins or just the ones in your chosen category. Most people will pick a category because it may become too expensive to collect them all. The overall idea though is to have fun looking for them. That's why Disney releases them, to create a fun experience within the theme parksArticle Search, and create an interesting and fun hobby.
