The plaster with which the pool is covered has to be repaired after a specific point of time that depends upon the quality if the first plaster and the way it has been installed. If you are going to try it at home then here are some procedural tactics that can be of some help to you:
• Check out whether there is any loose plaster associated to the walls or not. If there is then remove it with the help of chisels. This otherwise might turn out to be an obstacle while putting the new plaster on. And now you need to know where the hollow spots on the floor are, if there are any. For this you need to take a heavy shackles or chain and keep it to the floor and drag it from one end to the other. There will be a characteristic sound of that. Mark the positions of those. But before doing all this do remember to take safety precautions and wear all the safety related equipments. • Now you have all the positions that have to be repaired and resurfaced. Now after this, rinse the surface under remodeling with the help of acids. • Now take some quantity of water and according to your pool’s surface take appropriate quantities of sand and cement and prepare a mixture that has to be applied over the surface. Check whether the color is on the blackish side or not. Because if it is, then do remember to add some dyes to it in order to give it the proper composition so that it is ready for the application. • The best way to get all the mixture without putting your hands within the mixture is to use trowels and knives. Now after all this is done, take a sponge and dip it in water till the time it has soaked some water. After it has been done, make sure with the help of the sponge that you do not let the surface to dry out. But that does not mean that you will literally wash the surface. You just need to moisten it. Now that you have prepared the mixture, apply it to the under remodeling surface and then push it within making sure that there is no micro space even for the air bubbles. This again could be done with trowel in your hand. Wait for few minutes, say 15 or so and during these 15 minutes do not let the mixture dry. Keep moistening it.
