A Good Electrician Can Keep Your Electrical System Working RightIf your home electrical system isn't working properly now is the time to call in an electrician before your system starts a fire. Benjamin Franklin is credited with many things including inventing electricity but this is not entirely true. Franklin didn’t so much as invent electricity as he did discover the link between lightening and electricity during his kite flying experiment in the rain storm. This isn’t something you should try to replicate at home by the way. What Franklin actually ended up inventing that day from his experiment was the lightening rod used to keep lightening from hitting and destroying your home or outbuilding. And his work with electricity was part of a long chain of work by other scientist which did indeed eventually end with you being able to flip a switch for lights and power to your computer and television and every other devise that you hold dear- even your electric car. But you probably don’t really who care who invented or discovered electricity if you find your home has not been wired to meet code and you can’t use your electricity. The requirements today to become an electrician are strict and long. No one can simply answer an ad for electrician without years of training that includes both classroom time as well as apprenticeship training on the job. The purpose of this extensive training is to ensure that no one is injured installing or repairing electricity because as we all know electricity can be deadly if mishandled. But there is another reason the rules regulating electricians are so strict and that is to ensure that no home or business is wired incorrectly and as such dangerously. Very few people will actually ever have their home red tagged because the electricity was wired wrong and does not meet code. When it happens it is generally on an older home that may have been wired for the days when the only electrical devices in use were lamps and maybe a sewing machine so the house wiring didn’t have to hold a lot of juice. Today we are running computers, dishwashers, stoves, microwaves, washing machines, dryers, televisions, lights for the home, heating and air conditioning and fans to name just a few of the everyday appliances that are probably running right now in your home. That’s a lot of power and that means your home needs to have the ability to run these things without blowing a fuse because the system is being overloaded. If you find your home is always blowing a fuse the problem may be your home is not wired to handle the load of modern day needs adequately. Your first step is to have a licensed and qualified electrician come out and look at your electrical system and breaker box. You shouldn’t continue to use a system that is faulty any longer than you have to because blown fuses are your systems way of saying it is overloaded and an overloaded system is how electrical home fires can start. Get your systems looked at and stop blowing fuses , for your own safety and long term good.Article Tags: Electrical System Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
