If you have a special event coming up or maybe even a time when you just need a break from the regular upkeep of your home, call to set up and appointment. You can take some time off and just enjoy being at home or plan to leave for vacation and come back to a clean home. No matter what the reason, it is important that you schedule correctly and give yourself plenty of time to get ready.
Choosing the Right Date:
It isn't always a good idea to schedule your cleaning service on the same day as the event. There is so much to be done and you will just find yourself frustrated with the lack of time that you have to get prepared. Consider scheduling a day or two in advance to get everything covered. If you have kids and you know that things just aren't going to stay neat and tidy you can cut it as close as you dare.
If your event is to take place on a weekend you may be able to save some money by scheduling on a weekday. You will need to be there to give workers access to your home. If you can't be there make sure that someone can. Each company is different, however most are okay with you leaving and then returning when the work is completed. 
The Price:
A cleaning service may charge in several different ways. Most choose to charge in either packages or increments of time. For example it may be one price to clean a house with three bedrooms and two baths, including the kitchen and the living area. Or another company may charge by the amount of time that is takes to clean that area. Either way you can usually get an estimate over the phone. If anything changes they will let you know as soon as possible. 
You can leave money for the workers to take when they arrive or you can give your credit card number over the phone. Either way is okay, it is completely personal preference. Most of the time, if the work was completed in a satisfactory way you leave a tip that is a percentage of the amount that you paid for the cleaning services.
Early Booking:
The earlier that you call to set up an appointment the better chance you have of getting the day and time slot that you would like. You can mark the day in your calendar and it will be one more thing to remove from your to do list. When the appointment is complete you may want to consider a standing appointment. You can have your house cleaned once a month, once every six weeks or even once a quarter just to keep things nice and tidy. Having someone else come in and help out can be huge for someone with a busy lifestyle.
