When your home is a disorganized mess and you feel like screaming at the top of your lungs,Help, I Need to Declutter My House! Articles “Help! I need to declutter my house!” there are simple and easy things that you can do to begin to get your house in order and ways to learn how to stay clutter and stress-free by doing it.

If you have children, a large majority of clutter comes from them. The unwillingness to get rid of any toys or books is one of the biggest complaints of people with cluttered homes. There is an easy solution to this problem. Call up Grandma and see if she would be willing to take them for the day (or better yet, over night) so you can organize and purge yourself of some toys while away from the watchful eyes of your kids. Once they are away, set your playroom up into three categories. One section is for the toys, books and other items that you want to keep. Another section is for those items that you know your children do not play with any longer, but they are still in good condition so you feel alright donating them to charity. The final pile is for the toys and other children’s items that are broken or missing pieces. Those items go directly into the trash. Once you have taken the items to charity and thrown the others in the garbage, you will be surprised how easily you can clean and organize the toys that you already have. More likely than not, your children will not even notice that any toys are gone…that’s just the way kids are!

Another highly cluttered area in a house with children is the bathroom. More likely than not, if you walk into the bathroom of any family in America, you will find the bathtub full of miscellaneous plastic toys, kids shampoo and bubble baths everywhere. The best way that you can keep organized (especially if you share this bathroom with your kids) is to pick up the bath toys and store them in a mesh bag inside your shower after every bath time. Eliminate the half empty bottles of kids’ shampoos or bubble baths and limit it to one brand inside the bath to declutter your bath rim.

By organizing these two rooms, you will be able to keep your child-filled home clean and organized and you will no longer be yelling for someone to come and “declutter my house!”
