The summer is on its way and that means that the warm weather and beautiful plants are starting to bloom. It is also another great reason to start having tons of friends over. As soon as the summer comes it brings with it the warm weather, the beautiful flowers, and our friends who simply wish to enjoy great company and delicious food. What better way to do all of this than to throw a celebration in the back yard. It really is time to get out in the fresh air and get to know the folks which you work with or go to Church with.

Food

First thing you must do is make sure that you have the food that will feed them all. When doubtful it's always a great idea to have barbecue. Ask your spouse to grill some hamburgers and hotdogs. That is easy to make and seriously isn't going to cost you a fortune. Plus it is hard to find someone who does not enjoy it.

Make sure that you have the right sides for it all. Place out some fresh fruit and veggies, dip, potato salad, and of course all of the best drinks. You don’t want anything too heavy or individuals will get uncomfortable as they finish eating. Make certain to have many different sodas, lemonade, sweet tea, and of course a lot of water.

Games

For the children you are going to have to provide them with a few games which will keep them occupied. That way all of the adults could have a chance to mingle and get to know each other. Try to put up a trampoline, swing set

, or even a slip and slide. This can keep the children having fun and cooled off.

Shade

It's going to be so hot so that implies you will need to find a way to keep everybody cooled off. There are a number of things which you could do. First you could set up a couple of tables and have an umbrella over them. The simplest thing to do would be to put up a garden party canopy.
