My Very Own Blog About the Numerous Styles of Flooring I have Effectively Used in my House, and How

I am currently in the process of redecorating my home, which I have taken great pleasure in and I have become somewhat of an expert when it comes to picking out the right flooring.

Flooring can be an important feature of any room and could even be seen as a focal point, and so should not be ignored or forgotten about, as it can be the final part to your interior décor.

Whilst decorating my house I have found out alot about flooring. One very useful pieces of advice is to always use flooring samples when available before you invest.

All through my home I have used wooden flooring, especially in the bedrooms and dining room, as it gives the house a classic feel regardless of the rest of the furnishings in the room. A room can be contemporary and modern, or rustic and retro, but will still benefit from the added element of a wooden floor. Just because it is so versatile.

Wooden flooring comes in a range of styles and colours. These types of flooring are also easy to maintain and if you have young children or pets it makes the job of cleaning up after them, much easier. However there are various rooms of the house where hardwood flooring is just not practical. These rooms are especially bathrooms and kitchens as water can have a disastrous effect on wooden flooring.

For rooms that are likely to be exposed to water, its is advisable to use a flooring material like tiles or laminate. Both of which are very resistant and can cope with dirt, stains and even flooding. Carpets are not advised in these rooms either, for the same reason as hardwood flooring, they can suffer irreparable damage. Carpets are more suitable in bedrooms and living rooms, they make a room feel more comfortable and cosy.

In my bathroom I have a laminate flooring, however it does misleadingly look like a wooden floor Many laminates presently are designed to trick people into thinking the floor is actual wood/tiles, but is in fact a photographic image transferred onto a hard wearing board, they are also less likely to suffer from scratches and other forms of damage than real wooden floors. Laminate flooring is a cheaper and more effective way of having a realistic looking wooden floor in any room of your house.

Despite laminate flooring being synthetic it looks and appears very realistic. I used a Flooring Dallas company not only for my bathroom, by in my kitchen as well. I use various styles and colour of laminate to add to the overall furnishing of that individual room. Tiles in kitchens or bathrooms can also be used, however tiles are much more costly.

I have used a range of materials, whilst decorating my home. I have tailored my home renovation to suit the needs of each room and my budgetFeature Articles, I hope my blog has helped you!!
