Accessing to a blocked website will not be as difficult as it is imagined with these gimmicks. Tracking IP, accessing through proxy server, VPN service, Tor browser, Public DNS of ISPs, SSH tunnels, Google Translate, altering proxy settings as well as host files will make it easy to access it.

Sometimes authorities do so due to certain technical reasons. But that reasons can never stop you from catching it. Here are certain tricks by which you can access your website easily:

1. Track IP rather than URL for access: Some software do block websites but only by name. What a chance you have! Your website’s IP is still active. You can track it and get the key to its access. This will be one of the best interactive ideas that can engage zillions of people through its access. Wondering, how to trace IP? You can have it from Terminal if you use OS X. Windows users can get it through Command Prompt. 

  Steps to track IP:

  • Write ping yourdomain. Com.
  • After it, tap on ENTER. 
  • Here you have the IP address! Copy the result which is your IP
  • Paste it on the browser’s address bar.
  • Pressing ‘Enter’ your website will be open. 

2. Proxy Server to access: Apart from giving structure and encapsulation, proxy server has an astounding feature as well that should be the matter of interesting for the web development companies in India and abroad.   How to change DNS with Google Public DNS:

  • Go to DNS configuration of your network.
  • Feed the Google Public DNS.
  • Use it either primary or secondary.

  In Firefox:

  In Chrome:

8. Modify the host files for tracking IP of the blocked site: For doing so, Pentest tool can be very useful. It enables you to trace the IP for the blocked domain and subdomain.

  Steps of how to change the host file:

  • Go to Pentest tool
  • Trace the IP.
  • Insert domain name.
  • Click on ‘subdomain details’ check box.
  • Tap on start tab.
  • Copy the IP flashing on the screen along with domain/subdomain.

9. Unblock through SSH Tunnels: It will be useful only if you have an SSH account. Otherwise, you won’t be able to do so.

  Steps:

  • Open the Terminal.
  • Run this command: ssh –D 12345 user@host.domain.
  • SOCKS server will start running on port 12345.
  • Feed the username and password.
  • You are logged in now.
  • Minimize the terminal.
  • Follow the settings: Preferences>Advanced>Network>Settings.
  • Click on the radio button before ‘Manual Proxy Configurations’.
  • Enter 127.0.0.1 on SOCKS Hosts.
  • Put the Port Number.
  • Tap on OK.
  • Click on ‘Save’. 
  • Go to blank tab.
  • Type: ‘about:config’.
  • Set ‘true’ for ‘network.proxy.socks_remote_dns’.
