Your employees are at the heart of your business. Working hard for you and your customers and forming those ever important business relationships each and every day. You rely on them and their good judgment to help forge your business forward and as a result your business is growing, however you would like to continue the push forward. Letting your employees know first that you value them and their efforts is a very big key to enhancing your business and building it bigger. Take the time to sit employees down for a dinner meeting. You buy dinner and let them know what a great job you think they are doing. It may even be a nice touch to order up some nice promotional t-shirts or another promotional item to give them for a job well done. Then it is time to take them to the next step.

Encouraging them to push harder will require further incentives but they are surely up to the challenge and knowing that there is something in it for them as well, will provide you with proven results. You can accomplish this by working together on goal setting and then let them know that if you achieve these goals there will be a reward. And let them know what the reward will be. This will cause them to become more motivated to achieve these goals.

It is important to put an emphasis on cross selling, up selling and referrals. You may want to put additional rewards in place for employees who are participating in these activities. More rewards will mean more productivity and increased sales and these are the things that you are looking for.

For some companies having a big goal for the whole office will work wonders. You can do small things just to get people excited about working in general too. Doing simple things like having contests and giving prizes for the best decorated desk for a particular holiday or even the most unusual dish at the weekly potluck office lunch. When you can get your employees excited they will feel that the job has more value and that they want to do more to keep their jobs.
