Nuggets Of Wisdom Regarding Word Of Mouth Advertising

How powerful is Word Of Mouth Advertising? Not only this but how fast how can it grow your business if you are playing by the rules.

When I was a kid someone trying to teach me the value of money tried to teach me how much a penny would be if you doubled it every single day for just 30 days. Sorry I'm to lazy to do the math here and figure out the exact number, but the number adds up to about 5,000,000 dollars. If 5 million is a lot just imagine what 60 or 90 days would be. The fact is this number would be off the charts. The point I'm trying to impress upon you here is the value of providing great customer service and the power of one client or customer recommending another customer. I personally believe that whether the economy is good or bad that there is plenty of business for the good guys who play by the rules.

No one said running a business is easy, but hopefully you are engaged in a business that you enjoy. If you're not perhaps it's time for a career move, because I believe that if you are not happy in a business than it's only a matter of time before it takes its toll on you. You also have to consider the fact that if you're not happy in your business than maybe there are moves you can make besides a career change that will give you more satisfaction where you're at. Once you are happy where you're at you need to do things on the internet that will make your business more viral.

One of them is to start an email list. This action by its nature is viral and will help proliferate your customer base by itself. Then there is social media sites like facebook. Posting on these regularly will attract customers in your area. And did you ever consider asking happy customers to refer other customers to your website, where they can subscribe to your newsletter for a free coupon for a soda or a meal for 50% off the regular price. People really do pay attention to these kinds of promotions, and will keep coming back to your place if you can show them value.

Also promotions of the month can encourage lots of Word Of Mouth Advertising. Each month the winner of the promotion will get a free dinner for two or a $50.00 off coupon for your services. It will get people talking about your business more, since no business wants to be isolated, it's just not healthy. A couple weeks ago I went in to see a Podiatrist in OceansideFeature Articles, CA. and needed minor toe surgery because of a terrible ingrown toenail. The bill was supposed to be $200 but he told me I only needed to pay him $100.00. Do you think I'll end up referring someone there if they need his services? Not only will I promote them I'll confidently promote them. And the person I refer to him later will probably end up referring their friends or family over there down the road.

The trick to all this though is to combine Word of Mouth Advertising with Internet Marketing and stack viral over viral. When you do this you will be creating a client generating machine for your business regardless of what vertical you are operating in.
