Using Social Media To Stay Connected After Exhibition Displays Have Been Taken Down

Trade show stands can be combined with social marketing tools to connect with customers even after the show itself ends. Learn how to get the most out of your exhibition displays with some simple tips.

If you want the effects of your exhibition displays to last longer than the event itself, consider the value of using social media in conjunction with trade show stands. There are many ways to incorporate social media, and all of them have a positive impact on your ability to reach visitors in the long term.
Using Facebook At Trade Show Stands
Some companies dismiss social networking options like Facebook because they believe it is impractical to incorporate such a tool into exhibition displays. However, there are many trade show stands designed specifically to allow heavy objects like computers, monitors, and large TVs to be suspended from the booth's own structure. Using these items is not only possible, but practical and a very good idea.
With the proper computer setup, your company can maintain Facebook integration even from trade show stands. Simply set up a computer and advertise that you are connected on Facebook, potentially allowing visitors to become a Facebook fan or join your group right from the booth.
Using Exhibition Displays To Drive Subscription To Your Mailing List
Having a Facebook setup may be impractical if you expect a particularly large volume of attendees, simply because individual sign-ups would take too much time. Mailing list sign-ups, in contrast, are much faster. If you are showing your items in exhibition displays, you can simply have one computer clearly marked where individuals can do nothing but sign up for your mailing list. Particularly if you offer a newsletter that gives tips and updates about your field, you can expect a large volume of new registrations from trade show stands.
Connecting Through Twitter
Using Twitter, on the other hand, may not require the use of a computer terminal at all. An increasing percentage of cell phones are able to interface with Twitter independently of a computer, including adding new people to follow. If you expect a visitor base to have these devices, simply showing your company's Twitter feed in a prominent location may be enough. A great idea is to suspend a large TV from the exhibition displays. Oftentimes, a visitor may follow on Twitter even if they don't visit the booth itself.
Keep The Buzz Going After The Event
One of the biggest mistakes is to allow the buzz generated by your trade show stands to dissipate. If you had a large number of people sign up to follow on Twitter, be fans on Facebook, or receive a newsletter, you must keep in touch with them. You must update your social media and continue reaching out, or you will lose their attention. Social media is a powerful tool for trade show standsHealth Fitness Articles, but it has maximum effect only if you can make the most of it afterward.
