Huntington Beach Wedding Photographer Analyzes Huntington Beach Library as an Engagement Location

Many Orange County Photographers choose the Huntington Beach Public Library to shoot engagement sessions.

Most people when thinking of a place to stage an engagement shoot do not think of a public library. However, typical is not how one would describe the Huntington Beach Public Library. The location, with its beautiful stairs, gardens and spacious rooms make for a unique engagement shoot location.

The purpose of his article is to assist Orange County photographers who may be shooting for this first time in this location.

1. You will find outside several large tree stumps. A shot of the feet of the bride on the stump is a unique addition to a collection. You may also, adjusting for the heights of the couples by having one sit on the stump and the other stand, or have one of the two stand on the ground behind the stump. Running a black and white or sepia Photoshop action will create a real rustic feel.

2. On the inside of the library you will find a large set of stairs with glass sides. One fun series of shots can be had by placing the bride at the top of this beautiful stair case and the groom at the bottom. Take a series of shots of the bride walking down the staircase to meet the groom. When she arrives at the bottom, take a shot of her kissing the groom from behind. A beautiful collage doeth this series make.

Orange County in general and Huntington Beach in particular have numerous attractive locations for photographing an engaged couple. The public library happens to be one of them.
