What to look for when looking for a wedding florist.

If you are getting married soon or just considering it for the future, there is so much that goes into planning. Many people forget about the obvious things. Things such as wedding flowers, it may seem like a minor detail but on the big day it is in fact a major detail that could really make your special day perfect. If like most people you have chosen to have your day split over two different locations, one being say a church for the wedding ceremony and the other being a venue hired for the reception and evening party then you need to decorate both venues. This means you will need to order two sets of wedding flowers but it may be worth seeing if you can get them moved f by the florist or a relative actually on the day.

In most cases you will have a budget for your wedding, but if that budget is quite large then you could ask your wedding florist if it’s possible to supply to all the different venues. This just means that all day you will carry the same theme and you can enjoy the same flowers in all the venues.  This will leave you with a very happy memory and pictures taken will reflect this too. In years to come you can look back and say those flowers specifically where ‘your’ wedding flowers.

If you are to do this then you will need a very reliable florist, this is essential when it comes to your wedding. It would be absolutely awful if you didn’t check out your florist first and they just didn’t arrive on the day. Check out their testimonials and previous client reviews before making any decisions as all reputable florists will have them available for you to see.

It will be essential to find out how many other weddings arrangements your florist is doing on the same day as you should expect them to be concerned and giving their all to your flowers. In an ideal world they should be doing maybe 2 or 3 a day; this means they can focus quite a lot of time with yours, especially if you have complicated designs that require a lot of attention to detail. You don’t want to spend a lot of time planning the designs of your perfect flowers, just for them to get lost on your big day. Experienced, good florists will have no problem in meeting your needs and making sure everything is perfect for you so it is best to do your research.

As well as all this you will need to check that the person you had your consultations with and meetings with is the person actually doing your flowers. Many people spend hours talking with their florist and planning the designs just to find out that somebody else is actually creating the arrangement. It could potentially ruin your day if they aren’t done right so always ask about this. They should be able to tell you exactly who is creating them and if that person isn’t them then ask to speak to the person that is arranging them.

If you can keep this information in your head when looking for a florist you will be fine. Flowers can really make or break a wedding day so its best that you go with somebody with many years and weddings experience.
