The digital world is currently in a frenzy over the spam problem. Initially, my response was one of frustration, but I quickly realized that such a reaction was unproductive. The only viable solution to ensure your business remains operational amidst this chaos is to implement contingency plans. Complaining about your rights while leaving your business vulnerable will only result in losses. Internet Marketing is here to stay, but there may be times when the journey becomes turbulent. If you're unprepared, you could become the next casualty of the dot.com era. So, how am I preparing myself?

The internet offered a faster and cheaper alternative, prompting me to reduce my mail order activities and focus more on my online efforts. However, after receiving three false spam warnings, I've adjusted my strategy from 90% internet-based to a 70-30 split between internet and mail order.

My Strategy for Ensuring Business Growth Amidst the Spam Issue

  • Some of my articles are already lined up to be published in one of the oldest offline mail order tabloids, starting with their next issue.
  • I'm actively seeking more mail order tabloids that accept articles for future submissions.
  • I'm increasing my daily direct mailings. As sales increase, I'll use the profits to further boost the number of daily mailings.
  • I'm placing ads in more co-publishable publications.

Why co-publishable publications? They allow me to accept ads from other marketers, which helps offset my marketing costs. If used correctly, co-publishable publications can provide a wide circulation of your ads at no cost.
