CREATE YOUR OWN "POSITIVE MEMORIES" LEGACY
Working Hard At Making A Lasting Impression On Your World

All of us have the potential of leaving a set of positive
memories in the minds and hearts of people.

I would *love* to know that the memories people have of me
will be a blessing to them instead of a burden.

WE WILL LEAVE A LEGACY

Each day I live I am building a legacy of one kind or
another. I *will* leave behind a set of memories and their
corresponding emotions in the minds and hearts of those
who have known me -- or known about me.

That's a guarantee.
It will take place.

My legacy -- and yours -- will "happen" and...

*It will be unique to who we are, what we have said,
and how we have lived.
*It will fall on either the negative or positive side
of the "good or bad" scale life.

SO TODAY'S QUESTION IS...

Why not work hard at creating your own legacy of memories?
A "positive memory legacy" if you please.

*Positive memories of yourself
*Positive memories of your values
*Positive memories of your lifestyle

A common term today is "intentional." That's as good as
any! Why not be *intentional* in terms of the legacy you
will leave behind?

YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEAN...

Good memories.
Memories that inspire people.
Memories that are a blessing to others.
Memories that leave behind "a good track record of life."

PLAN IT!

Plan to leave something of "high value" behind. Something
that reflects the deepest desires or concerns of your heart.
It could be a legacy that...

*People might consider "a gift"
*Causes people to fight for what is right
*Saves lives
*Heals the hurts of others
*Encourages
*Inspires people to live up to their potential

The exact nature of each individual legacy will be defined
by what is most important to that person.

In other words...

Your heart will provide the motivation that drives you to
design what type of "memory set" you desire to leave in the
minds of others.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

What are you doing now that will help future generations?

*How will your character help them?
*How will your style of life help them?
*How will the words your speak help them?

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER...

The terrible price of disgrace.

Let the thought of disgrace prevent you from foolish words
and actions.

Disgrace rarely -- if ever -- travels alone.

A mother
A father
A family
A business
And even a nation...

Can feel the imprint of just one person's disgraceful words,
attitudes and actions.

Remember this -->

Today's pleasure
often disguises
tomorrow's disgrace.

Or you could say it this way: the disgrace of tomorrow often
comes wrapped in a deceptively beautiful package with a tag
on it that reads "the pleasure of the moment."

TWO ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS

ONE: Gather the right kind of wealth.

Something to think about: what real value is there in
gaining wealth without respect? Why not seek to gain
both?

Gain wealth *and* respect.

*Wealth alone doesn't earn the respect of wives,
husbands, or children!

*Wealth alone doesn't earn the respect of team
members, students or work associates.

Remember: Success without respect is not success.

TWO: Plan to leave an "inheritance of great value" to those
you love.

All of us would love to leave a solid financial inheritance
to those we love.

But there's more: we can strive to leave them...

*The heritage of a good name.
*A strong spiritual heritage.
*A strong emotional heritage.

NOW ABOUT YOUR HEART...

What does your heart say? What is the *most* important
treasure you desire to leave with others?

"My most important treasure I want to leave with others
is...
