Jackets and CoatsOne of the most important pieces of apparel for the winter is the jacket or the coat. This winter the parka and the duffle have been given a new lease of life. The two long jackets offer a comfortable and functional jacket for the winter season that can move from casual to a smarter look by just being paired with a few other pieces of clothing. Both Burton and Next are doing some excellent styles in these coats for the coming season,Men’s Fashion tips Articles so expect to see a lot of them around the street. TrenchThe trench coat remains popular again for this winter and is often included with a Mac style belt to ensure it is a smart and sharp cut. So, if you have one from previous years you are in luck – if not buy one as they are as suitable for business as they are for pleasureIn the coat area the body warmer offers supreme flexibility and also warmth for the winter months. Pair a body warmer with a hooded jumper or even a shirt for a stylish and practical look. Leather and leather look jackets will also be common again this year, mainly due to their functional appeal and the fact they go with virtually everything – watch out for the aviator jacket take on this style, with its large collar and 1950s looks. JumpersCabled jumpers are very common this year and are a take on the 1950s preppy trend, though originally come from the West of Ireland. These jumpers add a different take to a smart look and when teamed with a heavy jacket, shirt, jeans and boots are a very attractive piece of clothing. Burton is full of cabled jumpers in a number of different sizes and colours this season.Pattered jumpers are also very common for 2011. These jumpers offer endless takes on creativity for designers and just have a certain Christmas and winter appeal ad association about them. This foray into the patterned territory also comes right across to the cardigan side of things, which once again will be very popular this year. Cardigans offer a versatile alternative to the jumper and can be teamed with a number of options for a stylish tidy or casual look. BootsMen’s boots this winter are set to be on the brogue side of things. Expect slim, neat and tidy lace up boots, preferably in brown leather with brogue like styling on the front. When purchasing a pair of these boots go to a good shoes shop and invest in a pair with decent soles that are sewn on and not glued as the winter and the damp weather will have its way with your soles if they are connected by adhesive.Duck two tone boots are also very common for the winter of 2011. These rustic thick boots offer comfort and style and can be paired with the most rustic of looks to ensure a comfortable and warm look. Team these boots up with a pair of mountain boot socks and pull the socks over your trousers for both style and functionality. Brogues and loafers are also going to be common for winter 2011, obviously with thicker soles than their popular summer equivalents. These shoes translate to casual and smarter occasions with ease and are excellent for all occasions when added to the right outfit. Chinos and JeansThe resurgence of the Chino is set to continue this winter with the trousers evident over jeans for the foreseeable future. Cords are also set to be popular this season, especially in the slim and straight cuts. This is not to say that the humble jean is dead, team up a nice tidy slim pair of jeans from Burton or Next with a pair of nice warm boots and a good coat for a timeless and stylish effect. All of the above should see you through to the brighter days of spring with a smile and a warm step.
