English Cricket Team In West Indies

English team is currently preparing for its upcoming tour to West Indies. There would be 4 tests matches, 5 one day internationals and one 20 twenty match. 5 One day internationals would be played after 4 tests. There would be two warm up matches each of 3 days, one would be between England Xl and St. Kitts X1 on 25 January and other would be between West Indies A and England X1 on 29th January.

1st test match would start from 4th February 2009 at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica while 2nd test match would start from 13th February at Sir Vivian Richard Stadium, North Sound, and Antigua. After 2nd match there would be one more tour match of England X1 and Barbados Cricket Association President's XI at Barbados on 21 February.

The 3rd test match would start from 26th February at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados while 4th and final test would start at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, and Trinidad on 6th March. After test series there would be one tour match of 3 days on 14th March. In this tour there would be only one 20 twenty match which would be played at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad on 15th March.

In the end of tour there would be played 5 One day internationals of which first would be played at Providence Stadium, Guyana on 20 March and 2nd would be at Providence Stadium, Guyana on 22nd March while 3rd and 4th match would be played at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados and Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on 27th and 29th March respectively. Last one day match of the tour would be played at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia on 3rd April and this last match would be a day and night match while other matches would be played in a day light.

English Captain Kevin Petersen has said to his board to make a choice out of him and coach. Batsman further said that he and Coach couldn’t continue together with each other any more. England Cricket Board has started considering on the next coach name for up coming English Cricket team’s tour to West Indies and there are chances that former cricketer Ashley Giles would be appointed as next English Cricket Team Coach. If English Cricket Board gives his decision in favor of Captain Kevin Pietersen then English board may suffer loss of worth 2.5 million Pounds and this dilemma between Captain and Coach Peter Moores has put ECB into new trouble.

Managing director of ECB tried his best to make Pietersen understand but he replied that English Board should choose one person between me and Coach. Managing director said that current conditions cannot be said well for board and we should make decision and this row should be settled before English Cricket Team goes to Caribbean. The conflict between English Cricket Team Captain Kevin Petersen and Coach Peter Moores arose when Coach refused to include former captain Michael Vaughan in the squad.
