Europe is one of the best places on earth to do many things. There is an endless amount of culture, festivals, and interesting activities that happen all over the country all the time. One of the best things to do while in Europe, of course, is skiing!
This is something that can commonly be seen in not only ski videos, but cartoons and movies as well. This is because there are tons of places to make a great ski video, and also some of the most beautiful places to have fun.
One of the top skiing destinations to make a trip to in Europe is found in
Andorra La Vella, Andorra. The best thing about this area is the great amount
of slopes that are available to be visited. There aren’t many resorts in this
area, which makes it awesome for people that don’t like tons of other people
around. There is a fantastic 24-person gondola that goes from the area of
Encamp, to some of the best slopes in this area. Many hotels and shopping malls
are found here as well.
Bad Gastein, Austria is another wonderful place to go for skiing trips. This
valley isn’t internationally known, so it is even better for people who like to
ski solo. There are five different mountains that people have to choose from,
making it one of the largest areas of space in the entire continent that is
used mostly for skiing. People that go here should have a vehicle in order to
get them to the better ski spots. This will also save people a huge amount of
time walking, or skiing back up hills.
Another charming spot to visit is Bormio, Italy. Due to the medieval history
this area has, it is a popular spot to visit. Some of the most popular things
about this are the extremely long runs that are normally well taken care of,
artificial areas of snow that run through beautiful forest scenery, and an
awesome assortment of jumps, and an a great off-piste. There are many great
restaurants in the area, as well as many nightlife spots, hotels, and other
resorts to visit.
A fourth great ski destination in Europe is found in Garmisch Partenkirchen,
Germany. This is a great place not only because of the lovely mountains,
beautiful sunsets, and hot air balloons that float across the horizon, but it
also is warmly known as the sports capital of Germany. This is the place where
famous pro skiers like Lydia Lassila and Simon Dumont have been in
competitions. There are festivals throughout the year and some of the best ski
jumps in the world can be found here. The Zugspitz is a popular spot due to its
towering 7000 foot height.
The final greatest place to plan a skiing destination is found in Bansko,
Gulgaria. This is one of the greatest places to go due to the fact that year
round skiing is available. This means any time of the year people can venture here
to partake in the activities it offers. There are many great lifts and gondolas
to bring people to the highest peaks, only to have them zoom down again. There
are many bowl areas to ski in here, jumps, and all sorts of other obstacles for
even the most diehard skier.
