Lewis Vs Garcia: All Set For Rangers vs Cardinals TonightRangers looking for their first Word Series title tonight at Busch Stadium Game 6 was set to be played yesterday, but rainy weather got Major League Baseball authorities to cancel the match and set it for today at 7:05 pm. The amount of rain was probably not enough for the postponement, but the MLB preferred to act cautiously, and make the early call. “I think everybody pretty much was in agreement with the fact that because of all the forecasting … we just didn’t want to take chance. We anticipated it’s going to rain. If it doesn’t rain, you made the decision on what you knew. If the forecast wasn’t as good for Thursday and Friday, chances are, we’d probably wait a little longer.” MLB’s executive vice president of baseball operations, Joe Torre said. The Rangers are trusting in the talents of Colby Lewis (who they consider is a version of Bob Gibson) to take them to their first World Series title, “Well, you definitely think when you’re a kid you want to be in this position, be on this stage. I think just being in the situation that we were last year throughout the playoffs gives you more of an edge, more relaxation. That’s for sure.” Lewis said. Lewis started his career with Texas and spent two seasons with the team before moving on to play for another two MLB franchises and one team from Japan, but he returned to the Rangers on 2010 and it seems like the time could have not been better for him, as he is one game away from wearing his first championship ring. On the other hand, the Cardinals are ready for whatever Texas is bringing to their field tonight, and they are also trusting in the talents of their starting pitcher, Jaime Garcia, to give the team their 11th World Series win, “You don’t want to think that because that happened once, that’s going to happen again. Every time I go out there, I’m thinking that I want to do good. What I’ve done in the past against them, you learn from that , but you move forward.” Garcia said.Article Tags: World Series Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
