Recently we compared the Black LG Optimus with the new HTC Sensation to see which one of these top end handsets was more impressive.  The HTC Sensation comfortably outshone the LG but it seemed only fair to give the LG another chance against a model that was more similar in terms of specification.  The HTC Incredible S seems much fairer competition against the LG as both models sports the same size screen and both can rightly label themselves as two of the best looking phones currently available.  Can HTC still come out on top or willl the LG prove more than a match for the confidently named Incredible S?At 4 inches both models boast exactly the same size screen.  This measurement is proving popular with consumers as it offers a larger screen than your mainstream smartphones such as the iPhone 4 and the HTC Desire S yet does not take things to the extremes of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Desire HD who offer massive 4.3 inch displays which are impressive but also physically very large.  The LG uses a TFT display panel together with IPS technology.  IPS stands for In Plane Switching and offers users lower power consumption and very good viewing angles on the device.  The technology is currently used on Apples latest iPhone as well as in Panasonics large screen home televisions.  Together with the 480 x 800 resolution users receive a great clarity of picture with vivid colour reproduction.  Result are comparable with the famous Retina display despite the resolution being slightly less.  The Incredible S uses S-LCD screen technology to acheive a great image quality with the same resolution as the LG,A Closer Look At The LG Optimus Black And The HTC Incredible S Articles however this model cannot quite live up to the standard set by the LG.Both the Black LG Optimus and the HTC Incredible S offer users a 1Ghz single core processor so responsiveness of both handsets is very similar.  There is one area of improvement on the HTC however that ensures that it is generally speedier than the LG.  The 768MB of RAM memory on board is higher than the 512MB offered on the Optimus and this small difference seems to make the Incredible S a speedier phone.  Even though the Sense UI that the HTC uses does slow the handset down a little, the extra RAM seems more than enough to compensate for this and still give the HTC an edge.  Both of these handsets run on the Google Android operating system and both have version 2.2 installed but with upgrades being made available for later versions.  Where the HTC does benefit however is it inclusion of the superb Sense user interface.  This give unrivalled user friendliness and not only makes the day to day operation of the phone simple but also fun.  If the interface on the LG was better it may have been a very close call in this area, but in this instance Sense wins hands down every time.Thing are a little more evenly matched between the Black LG Optimus and the the HTC Incrdible S than in other comparisons, however the HTC still edges ahead thanks to its overall speed coupled with the always reliable user interface that it boasts. The Black LG Optimus and the HTC Incredible S are available now.
