I purchased a new camera a few months ago and wanted to take some time today to write an Olympus E5 review and share my results about using it with you. I am not a professional photographer, and I will openly admit there is much I don't know about photography.

Yet I enjoy photography as a hobby and have taken a few courses over the years to expand my knowledge. So when I was shopping around for a new camera,An Olympus E5 Review: Perfect for Intermediate Photographers Articles I was looking for a camera that offered advanced features but that was not overly complicated. I didn't want to pay for more camera than I could handle or put to use, yet I also didn't want to buy a camera that would limit my experiences with it, either.

Superior Image Quality

My last camera before this one was a 10-year-old Nikon, so to say it was outdated is a big understatement. I was expecting big things out of this new camera as it had a lot of modern capabilities my old Nikon did not have. In this Olypus E5 review, I will tell you that it does not disappoint. This is a camera that comes with image stabilization with five shutter speeds, a shutter response of about 1/8000th of a second, and a 12.3-megapixel Live MOS sensor with a TruePic V+ image processor. It definitely has the features you need to capture amazing shots with superior image quality, and I can tell you that it doesn't disappoint in any way.

Indoor and Outdoor Capabilities

One of the reasons I opted for this camera and am writing this Olympus E5 review is because of its superior functions in both indoor and outdoor environments. It has a high-end weatherproofing feature that includes a supersonic wave filer, a thixomold, magnesium-alloy body, and a dust-reduction system. Yet it also has excellent white balance capabilities, too. I have used it for my daughter's birthday party, for my parent's anniversary party, and for trips to the Rockies and Moab, too. It handles just as perfectly indoors as it does outdoors.

My Personal Opinion

I am not a professional, so I cannot attest to how a professional would view this camera in my Olympus E5 review. However, from an intermediate photographer's perspective, this is a camera that offers the perfect blend of features and functions to allow you to really stretch your limits of your creativity and uses in a variety of environments, yet it also has automated features for greater flexibility, too. Altogether, I am pleased with the results and am happy I upgraded from my old Nikon.
